Find the standard form
of the equation of a line
with these two points:
(1,3) (3,7)

Need another example?

 Find the slope:
Write the slope in this form 1/2
Write the standard form equation:

When the slope of the line is given, then, only one point on that line is needed to create an equation.

point (3,5); slope= 7
y - 5 = 7(x - 3)
y - 5 = 7x - 21
-7x + y = - 16

Try this one on your own:

point (-2, 4); slope= -3

Write the equation of the line:

Two Sisters
