A Cylinder can be created by using 2 circles and a rectangle.

The volume of the cylinder is directly related to the diameter of the circle.

The volume of a cylinder is found by multiplying the area of its circular base by its height.

This cylinder has a height of 15 cm and a diameter of 8 cm.

 In the above example, the
diameter equals 8 cm.
Its radius equals 4 cm.
Area = 3.14 x 4 x 4
A = 50.24 cm^2
  •  To find this cylinder's volume, multiply
    the area of the circle by the height.

    50.24 x 15 =753.6 cm^3
